An outline is a line that is drawn around elements, outside the border edge, to make the element "stand out". The outline-color property sets the color of the outlines.
Note: Always declare the outline-style property before the outline-color property. An element must have an outline before you change the color of it.
Note: Outlines do not take up space, and they do not have to be rectangular.
Inherited: No
CSS properties can also be dynamically changed with a JavaScript.
Scripting Syntax: object.style.outlineColor="#00FF00"
In our HTML DOM tutorial you can find more details about the outlineColor property.
